Nam Ngiep1 is a hydropower project under construction in the central provinces of the Lao PDR. The Nam Ngiep1 Power Company (NNP1), co-owned by Kansai Electric Power of Japan, EGAT International of Thailand, and the Lao Holding State Enterprise, is building a 290-MW power plant to provide clean renewable electricity and contribute to poverty reduction.  To assist in creating a world-class power plant with international-standard environmental and social programs, Nam Ngiep 1 is looking for the Livelihood Team leader (Lao national preferred) as follow:

POSITION: LIVELIHOOD TEAM LEADER
(Based in Pakxan Office, Pakxan District, Bolikhamxay Province)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Arranges for the day to day management of the Livelihood team, including, but not limited to; scheduling,
assigning tasks, review leave requests, staff training and assist in conducting staff performance assessments.
 Provide information from the Livelihood Team for inclusion in the Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Progress
Reports and other reporting requirements.
 Provides technical assistance and training to Livelihood Officers, to ensure that appropriate livelihood activities
are implemented in a high standard.
 Provides technical support and inputs to technical staff during all stages of the livelihood activities, including
conceptualization, village consultation, procurement of supplies, training of PAPs, activity implementation and
activity evaluations
 Based on the CA and REDP commitments and the concept of sustainable livelihoods, prepares a livelihood
support strategy for self resettlers, including and exit strategy for the Livelihood Activity Support Program, in a
step by step approach.
 Establishes good relations with PAFP and DAFO and regularly involves them in the aspects of the Livelihood
activities.
 Organizes occasional missions with the Ministry of Agriculture to the livelihood program.
 Performs other tasks related to livelihood activities in the Environmental and Social Division as they may arise
and are reasonably assigned by the Deputy Manager –Resettlement and Livelihood Restoration or the Manager –
Social Management Office.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 University degree in Agriculture or related field.
 Minimum 10 years of work experience, preferably in construction projects including hydropower projects.
 Experience in managing a large team with a variety of technical competencies.
 Good working level of English
 Knowledge of Hmong language is an advantage but not a requirement
 MS Office package
