JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN HYDROPOWER DEVELOPMENT

Nam Ngiep 1 is a hydropower project under operation in the central provinces of the Lao PDR. The Nam Ngiep 1 Power
Company (NNP1PC), co-owned by Kansai Electric Power of Japan, EGAT International Company Limited, and the Lao
Holding State Enterprise, is operating a 290-MW hydropower project to provide clean renewable electricity and contribute
to poverty reduction in Laos. To assist in creating and operating a world-class hydropower project with internationalstandard environmental and social programs, NNP1PC is looking for the following staff:

POSITION: ENGINEER/TECHNICIAN
Location: Owner Site Office and Village in Hat Ngiun Village, Bolikhan District, Bolikhamxay province

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
− Perform all duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations on operations, safety,
conduct, and housekeeping,
− Responsible to support power plant operation activities,
− Plan, monitor, control and improve efficiency the preventive and corrective maintenance activities in transmission &
distribution line and related,
− Manage & procure tools, goods, consumable and transmission & distribution line spare parts,
− Coordinate departmental activities or technical matters with other departments/divisions of NNP1PC and EGAT to
maintain equipment of transmission and distribution lines for safety and stability of power transmission, and
− Perform other tasks when required.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
− At least Diploma’s degree in Electrical Engineering or in specialized field which is appropriate to the job,
− Any background of transmission & distribution line is advantage,
− Knowledgeable about Lao Electric Power Technical Standard (LEPTS) and international standard,
− Minimum 0 - 3 years of experience in the field of hydropower project or fresh graduate is welcome,
− Good command of verbal and written English,
− Self-starter with good working attitude and ability to multitask,
− Good problem-solving skills,
− Able to work under pressure and unsupervised,
− Good negotiation, strategy, communication and coordination skills,
− Ability to work on weekends and holidays occasionally or when required, and
− Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point and Auto CAD).
